Hey guys, what’s up?!?!
Happy S. Patrick’s day to everybody!!!! OMG! Today was an amazing day!!! We had so much fun that we don’t know if we’ll be able to remember everything!!!
First of all, today was S. Patrick’s day, and so a lot of us try to wear green stuff, like t-shirt, hoodie and also……. Green Statue of Liberty’s Crown!! Unfortunately we didn’t have the chance to watch the parade because we had so many stuff to do that we ran out of time!
The day start GREENfully with the Statue of Liberty, the big symbol of freedom!
We were very excited while we were on the ferry……..it was awesome!! We took sooooo many pictures with the Statue and the skyline that we could see from the Liberty Island! After that was time to visit the place where everything began………….. AFS headquarters!! We had the opportunity to meet people who work there and who make our experiences possible! We watched an interesting video and according with the day we ate.. Irish bread!!!
We proceeded with China Town and Little Italy.
It was so strange to see in China Town all the signs in Chinese (also McDonald was in Chinese!). On the other hand, in little Italy we had a frozen $12.50 pizza! Even if the food wasn’t the kind of pizza that we were looking for, it was cool seeing how two different cultures in the middle of an international city can live peacefully together.
During the afternoon we had the great opportunity to see ground zero that was very touch full. After that we walk along Wall Street, and we touched the bull’s balls, haha!
That’s not because we are crazy (maybe someone yes...) but because a lot of the business men in Wall Street think that this action will bring you money. (Maybe today we touched the same balls that Bill Gates touched some years ago!)
Later in the afternoon we crossed the Brooklyn Bridge!!!
It was a great experience! Probably one of the most beautiful places in NY where you can see the Statue of Liberty, the skyline and the other bridges, all at the same time!!
It was about 2 miles long but we burned all the calories from the frozen pizza!
At dinner we ate BBQ refilling our body with energy for… The Broadway play: the Phantom of the Opera! It was amazing! All the choreography took our breath away!! And to finish the day at the top we got the chance to say goodbye to NY with a 30 minutes shopping (like real shopaholic) in Times Square.
Tomorrow we’ll go to Washington DC for new adventures. We are sure it’ll be as AWESOME as was the Big Apple! Even if we’ll miss a lot the new friends that we met during these days that won’t come with us. Like our Lisa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s so great how in only 3 days you can really be so close with someone…. But like she said:” you always meet the same person at least twice in your life”
PS: for the others who will go to DC:” Are there High school in DC?!” “What? Ice-cream?!” lol
Alessia Perego and Micol Gabbioni, the loudest Italian girls!!
Loved the sign-off about the "loudest Italian girls"! Could this be their Oklahoma influence?????? Glad you are having fun. Are there any pictures from the Hip-Hop lessons?????
